The new Victims Commissioner has made a good start. By being clearly focussed on the needs of all victims and survivors and taking seriously her mandate this is a breath of fresh air in a very difficult climate. Her statement on the inquest debacle is family focussed and recognises the impact on families – instead of the playing out of agendas and egos that we have seen so often.
