RFJ Submission to Irish 3rd Action Plan on Women Peace and Security UNSCR1325

Relatives for Justice has made a submission to the Irish Government’s consultation on Women, Peace and Security UNSCR1325. This was an opportunity to highlight the lack of any attention to the experiences or needs of women affected by conflict related violence.

Relatives for Justice is recommending immediate action to ensure that all mechanisms to deal with the past have a designated structure which ensures that women can be equal participants in the processes, that women’s experiences are identified, appreciated and recorded and that there is a specific remedy for women affected by conflict harms.
